OneAlbum ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). You may optionally add a profile photo.

Photos and content

Photos, videos, and captions you upload to an album are stored on our servers. This content is visible to other members of the same album.

Usage data

We collect information about how you use the app — such as features accessed, actions taken, and device type — to improve the product. This is collected via PostHog, an analytics service.

Device information

We may collect device identifiers, operating system version, and app version to provide support and diagnose issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To provide the shared album service, including letting you create, join, and contribute to albums
  • To send you transactional notifications (e.g. album activity)
  • To improve the app based on usage patterns
  • To respond to support requests
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Sharing of Information

Within albums

Photos, videos, and profile information you add to an album are visible to all members of that album. Anyone with the album's QR code or share code can join.

Service providers

We share data with third-party services necessary to operate OneAlbum, including cloud storage providers and analytics tools. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OneAlbum, our users, or the public.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and uploaded content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Individual photos can be deleted by the uploader at any time from within the album.

5. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

OneAlbum is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability
